The "e-mobility Berlin" project initiated by carmaker Daimler and electricity giant RWE in September 2008 will enable significant data to be collected on the interplay between electric vehicles and charging stations. 100 Smart and Mercedes-Benz A-class cars will be used in the trials.

HE Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, UAE Minister of Economy, and HE Dr. Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg, inaugurated the German-Emirati Joint Council for Industry and Commerce, which is the first bilateral federal business organization to be founded in the UAE.  The function held at Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi on May, 9th was attended by several high-ranking dignitaries and entrepreneurs.
